At SKSC Tax Partners, we believe trust is earned through transparency, accountability, and professional conduct. This page outlines the standards we follow and the expectations we set for ourselves when serving clients.

1. Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Acting with integrity, fairness, and professionalism in every engagement

  • Protecting client confidentiality and sensitive financial information

  • Following applicable U.S. tax laws, regulations, and professional standards

  • Communicating clearly, honestly, and respectfully

  • Avoiding conflicts of interest and maintaining independence where required

2. Ethical Standards in Tax Practice

We follow a strict approach to ethical tax practice, including:

  • Filing positions supported by facts, documentation, and applicable law

  • Explaining material risks and reasonable alternatives when a position is uncertain

  • Never preparing returns or documents that we know are false, misleading, or incomplete

  • Refusing any request that involves misrepresentation, concealment of income, or fabricated records

  • Advising clients to correct errors when discovered

3. Accuracy, Documentation & Due Diligence

To protect you and ensure compliant outcomes, we may request:

  • Supporting documents for income, expenses, deductions, credits, and business activity

  • Clarifications when information is incomplete or inconsistent

  • Written confirmations for key assumptions, elections, and approvals

Client cooperation and timely documentation help reduce delays and prevent avoidable issues.

4. Confidentiality & Data Protection

We treat client data as confidential and use reasonable safeguards to protect it.
We do not share client information except:

  • With authorized service providers who support our operations (only as necessary), or

  • When required by law, court order, or regulatory request

For additional details, please refer to our Legal & Privacy page.

5. Conflicts of Interest

We work to identify and avoid conflicts that could impact objectivity or client trust. If a potential conflict arises, we may:

  • Disclose it to the affected parties

  • Seek written consent where appropriate

  • Decline or withdraw from the engagement if it cannot be managed responsibly

6. Anti-Fraud & Responsible Conduct

We do not support or participate in:

  • Tax evasion, fraud, or intentional underreporting

  • Submission of false statements or fabricated documentation

  • Improper use of credits, deductions, or entity structures

  • Any activity intended to mislead tax authorities or financial institutions

If we suspect misuse or illegal intent, we reserve the right to refuse service or end an engagement.

7. Respectful Communication

We value respectful, professional communication. We aim to provide:

  • Clear timelines, expectations, and next steps

  • Honest guidance based on facts and applicable rules

  • Prompt updates when circumstances change

We may not be able to proceed when abusive language, harassment, or threatening behavior occurs.

9. No Guarantees / Regulatory Outcomes

Tax outcomes depend on your specific facts, documentation, and current law.
